Magnuson Children's Garden - Join the Magnuson Children's Garden Committee!
The Magnuson Children’s Garden Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who have guided the garden’s creation and ongoing development since 2001. We work together to host free monthly events for the public from spring to fall, manage the garden maintenance through community stewardship events, and work together to design and plan fun new features! Current members come from a variety of backgrounds: grad students, nurses, engineers, King Co. Master Gardeners, active and retired educators, landscsape professionals, and more. The thing we all have in common is a love of gardens and nature, and of sharing that with local families!
We are now seeking committed and energetic volunteers to join us! The Children’s Garden Committee promotes diversity, equity and inclusion, and considers all interested candidates. Experience in any of the following fields is particularly beneficial: Sustainable gardening practices, garden and nature education, and/or community outreach. For more information, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
Using the motto, “Many hands make light work”, the committee’s leadership is shared, with the following positions:
- Communications & Social Media
- Food Gardening
- Education Resources
- Design Team
- Community Garden Board Representative
