Beacon Food Forest- Create a permaculture garden and food forest

Join us to improve food access and build community by creating a sustainable forest garden in the heart of Beacon Hill!

Help steward the existing 1.75 acres and develop another 1.5 acres of public land into a garden, food forest, educational space and habitat for pollinators.

Volunteers meet regularly to plan and schedule work at the Beacon Food Forest:

  • horticulture
  • permaculture
  • construction
  • community outreach
  • native plant wetland
  • bee keeping
  • compost making.

Join our Site Development Committee meetings on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Beacon Hill public library (winter months) or on site at the Beacon Food Forest (in warm weather). No experience required. You will work alongside experienced stewards. Ideas for new projects welcome!
