Board Training for Your Company's Future Leaders



Seattle Works had been training leaders in nonprofit and government service for over a decade through The Bridge: Board Training, averaging 200 graduates every year who are prepared for their next leadership step. Your team members will benefit from professional development, alumni networking, leadership advancement and exposure gained through this training and board service. Following the training, the graduates will become part of our alumni network and invited to participate in networking events like Board Speed Dating. Plus, Seattle Works will provide them the resources and guidance to find a board that is a good match for them.

Preparing your team for this type of role raises the profile of your company, provides new and useful skills to the employees and feeds a sense of community responsibility.
 
The training course focuses on:
  • Nonprofit and public sector overview
  • Financial and legal responsibilities
  • Introduction to fundraising
  • Interactive board simulation
Each section of the training course is facilitated by an expert in the field.
 


Bring the Bridge to Your Employees
Bring The Bridge: Board Trianing to your office for a custom course! We'll bring up to 5 trained facilirators with us for a half-day (4 hour) training on site. We can customize the topics above to make sure we are engaging your employees where they are at. The fee is $8,000 for up to 35 participants.

Provide reserved seats for your employees at the public Bridge: Board Training full-day sessions held in Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle. Give your employees a morale boost and a vote of confidence by sponsoring their participation.Employees have the chance to network with fellow classmates, gain professional skills and emerge as informed leaders. Individual participation fee: $150
Following the training, the graduates will become part of our alumni network and invited to participate in networking events like Board Speed Dating as well as peruse open board listings on our websites and with our partners.
