Support Homeless Youth
Every night in Seattle, 700-1,000 young people have no safe place to sleep.
YouthCare serves homeless and under-served youth ages 12-24, and we rely on the passion and support of community members, like you, who want to support valuable programs and opportunities that enable under-served youth to become self-sufficient and build better futures. We have a wide range of services, from street outreach to case management, to employment and education programs to housing.
YouthCare services represent a continuum of care that strives to engage youth through outreach services, stabilize them by helping to connect them to housing and other resources, and to prepare them through education and employment training. Ongoing case management helps maintain stability throughout their progress. For more information on their services, check out http://www.youthcare.org.
As a volunteer, you support our community's youth by actively demonstrating your support and care for these young people's lives, modeling positive and voluntary, community involvement and providing the youth with a respectable place for them to feel healthy and safe.
The Seattle Works Team will volunteer doing a number of tasks that may include: cleaning, organizing, restocking, sorting, laundry, picking up trash, painting over graffiti (weather permitting), yardwork, etc. The project will begin with an overview of YouthCare and the immediate facility, and continue with very much appreciated volunteer clean-up tasks.
