WHAT
IT'S ABOUT
Team Works makes
volunteering easy, educational and fun. For four months
you'll volunteer with a set group of 15 people, one Saturday
per month, at four different community organizations.
It's a
great way to figure out which issues you care about most,
meet great people and work with your peers to make Seattle a
more vibrant community!
The spring round
of Team Works just kicked off. The summer session will
kickoff in June, email
Jan to receive an email
reminder when it's time to sign-up!
HOW IT
GENERALLY WORKS
Sign up for a
team and plan to meet everyone at the kick-off.
- Teams
are first come, first serve.
Once a team
reaches 15 people, it's full! So if you are signing up with
friends or you are very, very interested in a specific team,
it's best to jump on it.
- You
have choices.
When you sign
up, you'll get to note preferences for which team you want
to be on. You can also tell us if you want to be on a team
with someone in particular.
Once teams are full we'll introduce you to your Team
Captain.
-
Plan on
attending the Kick-off 6/12
7-9pm at
Neighbors
Nightclub
This is your
chance to meet your team, get your t-shirt and learn more
about what's ahead! Can't make it? No worries, please just
let your Team Captain know and check in afterwards to find
out what you missed!
- Projects: 3rd Saturday of the month 10am-2pm,
June-September
You'll dig in a
various nonprofits, parks and schools around town.
Afterwards everyone is invited to a local watering hole for
some post-project fun.
-
It's expected you attend all the projects.
Can't make it?
Jump on some
Hot Projects,
our one-time commitments, and get ready for the
Oct.-Jan. round of Team Works.
-
Team Works has a $30 registration fee.
This helps cover the costs of running this fine program,
plus you get a snazzy t-shirt and entrance to our final
post-project event.
